365 Reasons to Love |
This blog was originally a blog of pictures/daily posts of my life when I was in college. I made it to day 64 and stopped around there because life was crushing down on me. So 6 months later, I just felt like picking it up again. I'm thinking it's also a good way of keeping track of my art books. Became somewhat of an amateur collector. Of course there are more awesome review blogs out there, but this would be mainly for my own enjoyment and happiness. =] |
Starry Sky ~in Spring~
Japanese otome game (maiden game) visual novels created and developed by the software company Honeybee. It was separated into four games, the first released in in 2009, with three love interests in each, making a total of twelve possible love interests in total. - Wikipedia
It took me twelve hours to finish this game since I had to go through all three routes and then all three again to get the bonus scene at the end. Thank god there was a skip function so I don’t have to go through all the scenes over and over again.
The game was very fluffy and cute. Gives you a warm feeling if you’re into cheesy cliched, lovely-dovey scenes with cute bishounens. Not that it’s a bad thing. It’s not for everyone though.
What I love the most would be the art and the voice actors. Artwork is by one of my favorite artist, Kazuaki. I have her artbook which I’ll probably do a review later on. Voice actors of the three guys are fitting, very soft and melodious. Since this is a Japanese game, it was all in Japanese, except I was about to find an English Patch for the text at Craneanime.com. You can also find the game download there. There are 4 installments to this creation, and the only one translated is the “In Spring” version, the first installment. It took the subbers one year to finish translating this game, so it’ll probably take a while to find the english patch for the second installment.
It was a fun game, but I heard the other installments are quite similar so I probably will not be playing them. If I’m really bored or if I want to get away from studying for the GRE, I’ll look into it. XD
